Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name via our authentication provider (Clerk). When you use StoryGuard, we store the content you create: world nodes, relations, manuscript chapters, and AI scan results. We also log usage events (e.g., scans run, nodes created) to understand how the product is used.

Your content is used solely to provide the StoryGuard service to you. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it to train AI models. When you run an AI consistency scan, your world graph and chapter content are sent to Anthropic's API under their standard data processing terms.

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (AWS us-east-1). We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access. No storage system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
• Anthropic — AI consistency scans (only when you trigger a scan)
• Vercel — application hosting

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual projects at any time from the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below — we will process your request within 30 days.

We use a single session cookie set by Clerk for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

StoryGuard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by email or in-app notice.
