Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using StoryGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

StoryGuard is a campaign tool for tabletop RPG game masters. It provides a campaign codex, a session notes editor, packs of ready-made content, and AI-powered features such as continuity checking, session change tracking, and player recaps. The service is currently in Early Access and may change significantly before general availability.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the content you create in StoryGuard, including your codex entries, session notes, recaps, and packs. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

If you share a pack with everyone or make it community-edited, you also grant other StoryGuard users permission to view it, add copies to their campaigns, and, for community-edited packs, propose and vote on changes to it. Copies other users have already added stay in their campaigns.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StoryGuard to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload or share content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the underlying systems
• Abuse the AI features in a way that causes disproportionate platform costs

5. AI Features

AI features are provided on a best-effort basis. Results are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete, and nothing changes in your campaign until you approve it. StoryGuard is a prep aid, not a substitute for your own judgment as a game master. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI output.

6. Early Access

During Early Access, features, limits, and pricing are subject to change. We will give reasonable notice before making material changes to paid tiers.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep StoryGuard available and reliable, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Termination

You may stop using StoryGuard at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

StoryGuard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
