Terms of Service

By creating an account or using StoryGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

StoryGuard is a writing tool that provides a world-building graph, manuscript editor, and AI-powered consistency checking. The service is currently in Early Access and may change significantly before general availability.

You retain full ownership of the content you create in StoryGuard — your world nodes, chapters, and manuscripts. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We will not use your content for any other purpose.

You agree not to use StoryGuard to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the underlying systems
• Abuse the AI scan features in a way that causes disproportionate platform costs

AI consistency scans are provided on a best-effort basis. Results are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete. StoryGuard is a writing aid, not a substitute for editorial judgment. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI output.

During Early Access, features, limits, and pricing are subject to change. We will give reasonable notice before making material changes to paid tiers.

We aim to keep StoryGuard available and reliable, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

You may stop using StoryGuard at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

StoryGuard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
